...Know what you plan to order or order the first thing you see.
Do not be that jerk that sits there thinking while 4 cars wait behind you. It is rude to the people behind you and the person waiting to take your order.
...Have the driver place the entire order.
The passanger is TOO FAR away from the sign to be heard clearly and accurately.
...If you are in a Diesel truck, turn off your engine because the order taker can not hear your order over the noise.
...Do Not mumble your order.
If the person helping you did not hear your order because you were mumbling do not keep mumbling the order at the same volume expecting them to hear you any better this time.
...Do Not yell at the person taking your order if they ask you to repeat yourself.
They are just trying to make sure they got your order right.
...Do Not try to make jokes with the order taker over the speaker. You are not that funny and you are wasting their time.
...Do Not drive away while the person taking your order is repeating your order back to you.
It is rude and if they had your order wrong and you did not listen to them to correct it, it is your fault when your order is wrong.
...Pay attention to what you are saying.
All too often, people assume they said what they wanted to order but forgot key words like "No Ice" or "Extra hot."
...Do Not by pass the sign to order at the window just because you want something already made. The person at the window is usually busy getting orders out of the window and should not have to walk away to hunt down the item your looking for. It throws their whole line out of order and slows down service for everyone behind you.
...Do Not come through the drive thru if your window is broken or you just got them tinted.
You look ignorant.
...Have your form of payment out and ready by the time you get to the window.
You should have had time to pull it out while the car ahead of you was at the window.
...Do Not talk on your cell phone the whole time you are at the window.
Again it is rude. Also, this is the last chance to catch any mistakes in the order. If you are not paying attention it is your fault.
...If the person at the window asks you how your day is going, do not complain. Just say "I'm well, thank you." The person at the window does not care about your personal problems.
...Do Not assume that the person at the window has any power within the store.
Do not come to the drive-thru to make a complaint. Either call the manager or come inside to talk to a supervisor.
...If at all possible, come inside.
It's probably faster considering all the idiots that do not understand how to use a drive- thru.
